My name is Leontine and I was born and raised in the Netherlands. I studied and worked as a social worker in the Netherlands, until I fell in love with a Parisian. I moved to Paris and there I started studying to become a tour guide.
I worked as a tour guide in Paris for many happy years, until my husband and I decided to seek our Jewish roots in Israel.
We went to live in this beautiful country. Also here in Israel I decided to study to become a tour guide, according to my opinion the most beautiful profession in the world.
I would like to show you the beauty, history, and culture of Israel. Sharing with you the complexity of this country and explaining to you the wonder that Israel exists anyway; those are two of the many topics I will be discussing as I guide you.
Furthermore, I am always looking for the best restaurants, good Israeli wine and cheese, unique places, special Israelis, and I will be happy to share my discoveries with you.
I completed special training at Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem. Yad Vashem has thus become one of my many specialties.
